What To Wear Wednesday! (WTWW) Rainy Days!

Between Moving, My mom visiting and work being busy as usual, I first apologize for the lack of posts.. and due to this awful weather the metro area has been living in the past 48 hours, my post today isn't too much more exciting.. But for those of us in the area, or whom have been having there own fare-share of rainy days, here is to us..and surviving the awful weather for a few more days!

Here are my three essentials on 

What to Wear this RAINY Wednesday!

Rain Boots!

and of course, for me there is non other than Hunters!

Next one cannot survive a dark and gloomy day without a trusty umbrella!

I got one of these (bubble) umbrellas last fall and love it!  a little tricky in the metro and carrying it around because it doesn't fold down as small as other umbrella's but for something that will keep you dry, its the way to go!

And lastly, because whom are we kidding, even with the best rain- prevention products, we all must give in to the 

"rain hair" 

(and believe me I got a good one today..sorry for any on-lookers!)

For me I highly recommend either a side braid, or just throw it all up in a classic ballerina bun!

Fringe... a Do or Don't??

So first of all go me, in actually getting to post more than one a day!! I would hate to leave you all without a Do or Don't for this first day of September.. so here it is.. FRINGE!

We all have seen it and some have embraced it while others run far far away.. but in this season's trends it is very evident and I think in the right way it can be worn and it not look like you have just survived a paper shredder.. but as always I am asking you.. is fringe a Do or Don't?

I think this trend can be versatile in the sense that you don't even need to be actually wearing it, to make the statement.  Grab a bag like this one and you will definitely be making a FRINGE statement

See how you can either wear this, super elegant on the red carpet, to super laid back to an outdoors concert..

Best time of Year!!

Ok, so I have to take a fashion break, to let you all know about my other hobbies, specifically one that due to my undergraduate degree I am slightly fanatical about.. that is COLLEGE Football!  I know I am now out of college, but I just can't seem to let this Saturday tradition leave me!  

And tonight, although not Saturday starts it all! welcome to my most favorite time of year, College Football season! (you may see my bias above but hey..don't we all have one!)

Oh how I wait for many long months, for my Saturday morning ritual of College Gameday!!

 

And of course, with every game day (and some lovely weddings may I add) there should always some football spirit!

What To Wear Wednesday! (WTWW) Tweed & more

So as we say goodbye to summer and embrace this gorgeous un-humid fallish weather, it is about time we start to change over our closets and get ready to embrace the new styles of Fall 2011!

In today's What to Wear I wanted to show how to wear tweed with a number of different fabrics!  By mixing this heavier fabric with lighter ones, you are able to take this style to whole new heights!  Plus for many that still feel like tweed was only for the grandma's move over..

Might be a little much for some of you.. but Love this mix-match of patterns and fabrics!  Plus the bright bang of the red tights..would you dare?
