"I have Nothing to Wear"

Thanks to a good friend of mine, who shared a link with me, and of course major thanks to the Today show for this segment, I was recently inspired!  

We all hit those moments that we look into our overly stuffed closet, and say.. "I have Nothing to Wear"

Well Jill Martin's new book is not only titled that but she also let us all know her secret..and its one that I personally found very surprising considering the question..

Now when you feel like you have nothing to wear, your last thought would be to start THROWING out clothes..right?  

Well Jill's solution is just that.. so as hesitant as I was in this advice, I thought it was also the perfect time for me to actually try this method, especially considering I am about to make my THIRD move in two years and desperately need to down-size my closet!  

Last Friday, being that I got very lucky and had the day off I vowed to myself I would start cleaning/ packing and re-organizing for my upcoming move..  6 LARGE trash bags later (including 3 of clothes, and 2 for Goodwill)

 

I was extremely proud of myself!  Within just a few hours I felt like I had a new closet!  (it could of also helped that I started packing up all my heavy winter items) but still it was VERY refreshing! 

So it may not be Spring Cleaning, but there's always PLENTY of reasons to get cleaning!  

I promise it will transform your closet!

bright, bold RED Lips.. a Do or Don't?

The queen of everything bold, sexy and daring is Marilyn herself!  So why not start today's Do or Don't with her and those famous RED Lips!  This isn't a trend/ fashion that is brilliantly new, yet more of a classic that comes and goes.. (depending on your style)

I was slightly inspired by my own outfit and style of today, as I am sporting a bright red cardigan and some red

So here we go, would you wear Bright, Bold RED Lips?

What To Wear Wednesday! (WTWW) FLARE denim

So what are you wearing this Wednesday?  I won't lie I am not the most stylish today, was able to work half at home, so that means much more laid back style!  But don't you fret I still have an exciting and fun

What to Wear.. that is FLARE denim!

Right when we are all just getting use to our ultra skinny, Skinnies the style has changed again..(show that recession!) Anyways we have come back in full circle with not only the 70s style but with more specifically the FLARE jeans!  I will say it is more flattering on most figures and matched with the high waist I can see maybe it eventually getting into my closet..

So what are your thoughts on the flare leg?

Personally I LOVE the trouser flare... more classy and not so much hippy peace sign (not that its a problem!)

They would go perfect with my Jeffrey Campbell Clogs!

Another plus for this style.. they are a GREAT way to elongate your legs!

Cropped leather jacket + flare jeans = Great look!

Celebs are eating this style up as well!

So what is your consensus? I think I am leaning more toward the trouser flare..

Sheer Maxi..a Do or Don't

I don't know about you, but for some reason this picture above reminds me of Carrie, running the streets of NYC in Sex in the City...

Anyways know that you all know one of my many obsessions.. (shhh dont tell)  I will go on with today's "a DO or DON'T"

Sheer Maxi, for some of you, you may be thinking what am I even talking about, for others this may not be so new, but it is definitely a style that we all will start seeing more and more!

I cannot say that I have a true angle on this yet.. but I am loving some of the photos that I will be posting, I think for me personally it may have to take the perfect sheer maxi on me, to make me convinced but for now lets start looking!!

Love the one on the left, not sure if I could actually wear the one on the right..anywhere around here but it is gorgeous!

Love the burnt orange, definitely looking for some new fall pieces in this color! 

(pumpkin spice latte anyone.. too much?)

Love the airy (soft) feel of the sheer maxi mixed with the structured (tough) leather jacket!!

As you all know I love mixing super feminine pieces with more structured pieces, the combination is just perfect.. or at least i think so!
