Making a Statement with this Season's Boots!

As we all know I may have a slight problem with boots!  I think part of it may be that I wasn't really able to fully enjoy them and take the full advantage of them until a year ago, when I moved somewhere that had more than a week of weather that was boot appropriate!  It also may have to do with the enormous selection of styles and varieties that we all have to choose from these days!

As my dear followers know I have been on the search for specifically 2 types of boots..one being the oh so wearable and necessary rain boot!  and the second being a flat yet high rising brown boot!

Thanks to much searching and talking with friends I finally made a decision about the rain boot, after quacking over every picture and the random girls on the metro in their Hunter rain boots, I knew I wouldn't be happy with settling on any other kind, even if they were quite a bit more from the pocket!  I ended up deciding on getting the oh so stylish and versatile Navy Hunter Rain boot! They go with everything and have amazing tred which means not only should I be safe from all the slippery escalators but they will also be great in the first snow falls of the season!

I also got the socks to go inside them, which will be heaven once the temperatures here drop some more! Cannot wait to sport them all fall/winter/ spring long!

Next was the much harder part of finding the perfect brown boot! After much searching online and in the tores I was lost on what I really wanted out of my new brown boots, I loved the classic lines of the riding boots, but thought with my own personal style I needed something with a little more "funk"

I had been eyeing the over-the-knee style but was hesitant if I could actually pull the look off..

Last week after making my "wish list" from ModCloth (which you all know I am obsessed with) one of the pairs of boots finally came in my size, I knew if I didn't jump on the opportunity quickly I would lose out (considering they only carry a very minimal amount of the item and only selected sizes)  so I jumped the bullet and ordered them without hesitation

These past few days have been full of anxiety as I waited for theses boots, that although they looked adorable had never tried them on or seen them on anyone else..to my happy surprise I received them early as they came in last night..and as I'm sure you can guess I LOVE them

Would you dare to wear the above-the-knee boot?!  They actually do hit above my knee, but with the more casual style I don't feel like "Pretty Women" thigh-high at all.. Although if that's your style, I dare you to rock it!  This year's boots fashions are all about your own personal style, and making a statement each and every time you wear them!

Here's a close-up on the bottom buckle, I love how they made these so they can be adjustable, so chic and so smart!

So go out there, make a statement and hey, I actually got these awesome boots for under 100 bucks, so there's no wallet excuse for NOT having the most fabulous boots this season!
