Giving Back

You may ask yourself how can I give back?  Especially in these more uncertain times, or maybe for those of us who are just starting to earn our first pay checks, do we have the extra income to give back??..but no matter the amount it is SO very important for everyone to do their part by giving back to this world..

I recently was given one of the MOST amazing gifts I have ever received..it was a chance to give back monetarily each and every month, the only stipend was that each month it had to either be to different cause or a different person, and that cause or person needed to touch you specifically during that month to give you that special reason to give to them..

My entire life I have always loved to help others and have tried to volunteer in the ways I could, but most of those ways were more selfishly out of convenience or mandatory activities, not that I ever regretted or did NOT want to participate but honestly to think back, every time that you volunteered did you do it just on your OWN for NO other reason then just to do so?  if this is your case I applaud you!

Well now because of this amazing gift I was given I have really started thinking about all the different ways I can give back, and most of them are NOT monetary at all..they are the little things that we forget that we can all do that can really make the difference, whether its just smiling more, or letting that person cut in front of you and you not get angry, or just simply calling those friends you haven't spoken to in awhile and wishing them a great day..all of these things may seem small but they wont just help that person it will make you happier as well!

As for my monetary gift I look forward to finding that stranger that may need those extra bucks, or the metro man who brightens my day, why not give him something a little more..there truly is MILLIONS of ways to give back and I know this year will be that much more amazing because of this new outlook I will promise to carry with me throughout it!

Make a resolution this year that you CAN keep, Give Back and make someone (if not just yourself) a Happier you in 2011!
